Mayor of Sleaford's Tree Initiative

The Mayor of Sleaford, Councillor Anthony Brand, is raising money in order for more trees to be planted in our town.

Oak Tree saplings are available to purchase for £10.00 each, for you to grow in your garden. Each person purchasing a sapling will receive a certificate of authentification and thanks, together with helpful information sheets.

Alternatively, you will be able to purchase an oak tree growing kit for £10.00, meaning that you can watch an acorn grow into a tree.

Also available to purchase for £10.00 each are beautiful handprinted collagraphs mounted on fabric and hand cut oak leaf, inspired by the acorns hanging on the Tudor four poster bed at Gainsborough Old Hall.

For further details, please contact the Sleaford Town COuncil offices on 01529 303456 or email enquiries@sleaford.gov.uk

The Mayor Spins a Yarn

The Mayor of Sleaford also raised money for his initiative by spinning wool in the Market Place during two of the Twelve Days of Christmas Markets in December 2020.

Visitors were invited to guess how much the Mayor could spin in length and weight during a certain amount of hours. Thank you to everyone who took part.
