Town Twinning
Sleaford has been twinned with Marquette-lez-Lille in France since 1999 and also with Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf in Germany since 2009.
The Sleaford and District Twinning Association is very active in the town and welcomes new members and host families for twinning visits.
This photograph shows the English, French and German groups assembled at the end of a twinning visit on Sunday 24th May 2023.
The town's guests from France and Germany were here again in Sleaford over the weekend of 24th to 27th August 2023 and there will then be a trip to Fredersdorf from 26th to 29th October 2023.
Each year, the three countries visit each other's towns. Unfortunately, there were no twinning visits in 2020 or 2021 due to the pandemic.

A small contingent of visitors from Sleaford enjoyed a trip to Germany in 2022. A wonderful cake was created to mark the ten year anniversary of the twinning relationship.
