Notification of Works to the Bridge at Southgate, Sleaford

ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF BRIDGE MAINTENANCE / OVERNIGHT ROAD CLOSURE.

SCHEME: Sleaford Southgate Bridge Rewaterproofing, B1517 Southgate, Sleaford

Lincolnshire County Council are planning the above highway scheme, which is due to start on 29th August 2023 for up to seven weeks.

Southgate will remain open during working hours throughout the scheme. However, two overnight full closures of Southgate will be required towards the end of the scheme to re-surface the bridge. Provisional planning dates for these closures are overnight on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October. Closures will be 8.00pm to 6.00am between Southgate's junctions with Boston Road and Watergate. During the overnight closures, no vehicles will be able to pass over Southgate Bridge. The diversion route for the two overnight (8.00pm to 6.00am) road closures is shown and described below.

There will inevitably be some disruption during these works, but LCC will do their best to keep this to a minimum by:

• Keeping Southgate open during working hours throughout the works
• Implementing a signed diversion route during the two overnight closures
• Doing their absolute best to carry the scheme out as quickly and efficiently as possible
