Notification of Road Improvements Scheme - A17 between Byard's Leap & Holdingham Roundabout

ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF ROAD IMPROVEMENTS SCHEME: A17 THIN SURFACE REPLACEMENT PACKAGE

There will be upcoming major A17 improvements planned to start in April 2023. These works will involve the reconstruction of the section of A17 between Byards Leap and Holdingham Roundabout.

The works will begin on Tuesday 11th April 2023 and are expected to last for 9 weeks, subject to
weather. As part of the scheme, the A17 between Byards Leap and Holdingahm Roundabout, will be closed overnight from 7.00pm to 6.00am, weekday nights.

Please note that some weekend working will be required from 7.00pm Friday night until 6.00am on
the following Monday morning. The proposed weekend is 21st to 24th April.

The diversion routes for the main A17 and the side roads at Rauceby junction will be:

A17 diversion: via the A46 to the Lincoln Eastern Bypass – A15 – Holdingham Roundabout

Main Street (heading south from the A17) at North Rauceby - Tom Lane - Rauceby Drove - A153 Grantham Road - A15

Rauceby Lane (heading north from the A17): College Road -B1429 Sleaford Road – A15.

These works will involve excavating the current carriageway and replacing it with 15,000 tonnes of tarmac and stone.
