Cancellation of Christmas Market 2021

There has been much publicity about the cancellation of Sleaford Christmas Market for 2021.

The Sleaford Christmas Market draws thousands of people and takes a full year to organise in an ordinary year. Due to uncertainty surrounding Covid in the early part of the year, the Christmas Market Group have been unable to confirm activities, entertainment, traders and marshalling etc and so it is for this reason with disappointment and sadness that the Council have made the decision to cancel the big event for this year only.

Alternative arrangements have been made for Sleaford Town Council to hold 12 Market days of Christmas Events between 26th November to 20th December which will be smaller markets spread over a number of days to ensure traders and visitors can enjoy the festivities safely with the switching on the Christmas Lights taking place on Sunday 28th November.
