Open Spaces Statement
We are very grateful that many people have observed the lockdown and continue to act responsibly. Tape has been placed in our open spaces to prevent use of equipment, this will remain until it is considered safe to use.
Updated Government Guidance encourages outdoor activity but indicates that all outdoor sport and recreation must only be done alone, within a household group or with one other person from outside your household, whilst maintaining social distancing.
In light of government guidance, Sleaford Town Council have considered its current stance on play equipment including the skate park. Use of the skate park, as well as any other play equipment does encourage public gatherings, which could include people from different households. At present, we are not in a position to police this activity to ensure social distancing is adhered to so we ask you to continue to respect that the play equipment, as well as the skate park, is currently not in use.
When we are in a position for everyone to use the equipment safely, notifications will be made on social media and our website.
