Lincolnshire County Council are reopening their household waste recycling centres from Monday 18th May 2020. For the first two weeks, only garden waste and wood will be accepted. From 1st June onwards, only garden waste, wood, scrap, metal and cardboard will be accepted.

The Sleaford Town Crier has recorded a Cry for Peace and it will be broadcast on BBC Radio Lincolnshire on VE Day, Friday 8th May 2020, just after the 2.00pm news.
The Town Crier will also do the Cry for Peace outside his home that same evening at 6.55pm, along with other Town Criers all over the world.

Sleaford Town Council would like to wish Captain Tom Moore, now an honorary Colonel, a very Happy 100th Birthday!
Captain Tom has raised £30 million by walking around his garden and has lifted the nation's spirits and captured the country's hearts!
He was treated to a flyover of a Hurricane and Spitfire from RAF Coningsby to celebrate this special day.

It is recommended that children and young people should be active for 60 minutes a day. This can be challenging with the Covid-19 outbreak, but there are lots of indoor activities, games and recipes which can be found on the Change 4 Life website www.nhs.uk/change4life
