Cllr Lorimer was first co-opted on to the Town Council in October 2012 and was re-elected to it at the elections held on Thursday 4th May 2023.

Cllr Lorimer is a member of the Human Resources, Planning and Services committees of the Council and she is Chairman of Services Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Planning Committee. She is also the Council's representative to meetings of the North Kesteven District Council Homelessness Forum.
