Sleaford Town Council Services - Street
Cleaning
The Town Council is contracted by North Kesteven
District Council to carry out the cleaning of the streets within
Sleaford.
This is split into two distinct areas, Litter Picking
and Mechanical Street Cleaning.
Litter Picking

This is carried out 7 days a week and is concentrated in the
town centre mostly using a mechanical pavement sweeper. |
Mechanical Sweeping
The town is split into routes to allow for easier management and
control.

The Town Centre is swept on a Thursday.
The main roads, Lincoln Road, Grantham Road,
London Road, Boston Road and East Road, are swept fortnightly
usually on a Monday and Tuesday.
All other routes are swept 8 times a year
every 6-7 weeks, all to the standard required by NKDC.

Litter Bins
The Town Council also provides most of the litter
bins within the town and is responsible for emptying these.

The Town Council
provides and maintains the majority of litter bins within the
town. These are
concentrated in the town centre and along major thoroughfares.
They are emptied on a regular
basis. |
